Kristina Repperger, MBA
Founder/ Sister to Joey
Kristina Repperger is a Senior Advisor for a healthcare organization in New York State. In April 2019, just two months after losing her brother Joey to an accidental fentanyl overdose on February 19, she founded The Joey Project. Driven by grief and determination, she is committed to ensuring that her brother’s death shines a light on the opioid epidemic that continues to devastate families and communities across the country.
Through The Joey Project, Kristina shares both her brother’s story and her own journey as his sister, using their experience to spark meaningful conversations and action. She believes in the power of collaboration—bringing together community members, advocates, and leaders who can drive real change. Her mission is to highlight the gaps in existing laws, improve resources for families navigating the crisis, and expand support for individuals battling addiction. By fostering creative solutions and actionable change, she hopes to move the conversation beyond awareness to real, solution-focused impact.
